The Church Lab for Microbial Biogeochemistry and Ecology has moved! As of August 2016, the lab now is based at the Flathead Lake Biological Station operated by the University of Montana.
Research in our lab focuses on microbes that catalyze biogeochemically important processes in aquatic ecosystems, including transformations of carbon and nitrogen in the ocean, lakes, and streams. Using both traditional biogeochemical and molecular techniques, we are particularly interested in the dynamics and climate-sensitivities of microbial communities.
